The Curve Foundation
The Curve Foundation, are a local Chelmsford based charity, specialising in supporting children and young people with mental health issues.
This weekly term time activity, provides many students with access to much needed mental health guidance and support, by directly providing preventive action.
Currently, the Curve Foundation have three regular counsellors, that provide support to the students of Moulsham High School. Since the Covid 19 pandemic, the number of young people suffering with their mental health has increased dramatically and wait times with the NHS to see a counsellor, are ridiculously long. Curve is helping to bridge this gap by providing free counselling to our students.
Made for More
Made for More primarily offer one to one mentoring to our students. Through working closely with the staff, they supply consistent and quality support for young people within the school system.
Working closely with our pastoral teams, each mentor is trained to listen, provide emotional support and space for self reflection. Mentoring is not about fixing or counselling, but about encouraging, listening and signposting. Schools, teaching staff and pastoral teams are under increasing amounts of pressure. Our mentors can offer time and consistency to young people needing to be heard. All mentors are updated with current safeguarding practices.
